Learning Journeys reflects the individual nature of learning and the required processes for deep, long-term learning. Self-directed by definition, learning needs to engage the individual, and to intrinsically motivate and reward. Future Journeys’ methodology of self-direction, learning, practice and application in different environments, and feedback, coaching and mentoring provides an integrated wholistic approach to personal and professional development.

This diagram reflects the type of process undergone by someone signing up for a corporate long-term program. Depending on your needs, we can design a program specifically for you. We integrate our programs with your performance management and professional development systems and internal mentoring or coaching programs.

You will have noticed the simulation component of our courses. Action learning methods are the most successful outcomes-based approach for behavioural learning. Our simulations allow participants to practice new skills and receive feedback on how these skills influence others, thus completing the learning cycle.

In addition, simulations allow innovation to occur within a context, with other people in created gameworlds of the future. In an immersive simulation you may find yourself in a created environment (developed using futurist methodologies) designing new products or services in a team. This deepens the understanding of the future in a way that reading about it cannot.

If you are signing up to a Future Journeys program for the first time for one course talk to us about how we might deepen your learning experience with add-on coaching, feedback and assessment modules.
